Agenda:
a) Discuss data gathering in the school, using MUSAC efficiently, alternatives???
Staff don't want to give data on paper and enter in musac. (see egs last email)
- Are we ready for digital roll?
b) Talk about future proofing - long term plans for where the school is going.
What is our 5 yr or 10 yr plan for ICT? Is there one (hardware/software wise). What do other schools do?
c) Ultranet - In discussion Belinda and Wendy (as well as Linda no doubt) still are not really sure what Ultranet is all about, its potential uses in the school for management, community, teachers and students. Some examples of how it is being used. - I prefer them to be upskilled on the purpose behind the system, rather than 'how' to use it at this stage.
All quite full on topics I imagine, but if time....
d) How to use ICT's to make meetings etc more effective.
- Using email more for distributing meeting minutes, staffmeeting notes, reading etc - so everyone has ahead of time and can reflect on? Enviroschool, if emailed only half will probably print out a hard copy so less paper wastage.
- Or displaying items we all need to see digitally. Finding more creative ways to have staff meetings - we are asked to incorporate ICT's into our teaching - Our leaders need to be role modelling this from the top and encorporating them into their meetings. Learning with us, failing with us, understanding our frustrations and successes. The IT team is there to support them with technical aspects.
